Mickey Valdivia

8Mickey Valdivia, Board President and the At-Large 1 representative, was initially elected to the Board on December 4, 2020. As the At-Large 1 representative, he works with all the retailers, from Cabazon to Calimesa/Yucaipa, as an active listener and problem solver. President Valdivia uses his talents in negotiations, urban planning, and land use knowledge to help provide a sustainable water supply to all the residents within the Agency boundaries.

President Valdivia currently serves as the General Manager of the Beaumont-Cherry Valley Recreation and Parks District.  Additionally, he plays a vital role on the Board of the Pass Economic Development Alliance.  President Valdivia was appointed by 5th District Supervisor Yxstian Gutierrez as a Riverside County Flood Control Commissioner.

President Valdivia pursued his education by transferring from Mt. San Jacinto College to the University of Redlands, where he completed his degree in Government. He continued his academic journey by earning a master’s degree in Cross Cultural Curriculum from National University.

President Valdivia is a lifelong resident of the Pass Area. He has been married to his wife Christy for 33 years and together have raised three children.  They are also proud grandparents to two grandchildren, who currently live in El Paso, Texas while their father is stationed at Fort Bliss.

Term of Office: Elected in 2020, his term ends November 2028.
