Inland Empire Resources Conservation District

The San Gorgonio Pass Water Agency manages groundwater levels to ensure we have water now and in the future.  Part of that goal is to help constituents learn about water, where our drinking water comes from, and about careers in the field of water.

The Inland Empire Resource Conservation District (IERCD) is a local government agency focusing on open space preservation, wildland rehabilitation, and education and outreach to residents within 1,300 square miles of northwestern Riverside and southwestern San Bernardino counties.

The partnership of San Gorgonio Pass Water Agency and the Inland Empire Resource Conservation District spans 15 years.  On behalf of the SGPWA, IERCD educates schools and the community on where our drinking water comes from, how we get it, and how they can conserve water for the future.

The Inland Empire Resource Conservation District has a dedicated education department that develops engaging content for youth and adults on conserving natural resources.  This partnership is ideal since water is one of the most precious resources!
