Ray Morris was first elected to the Board in November 1997. As one of two at-large directors, he represents the Agency’s entire service area from Calimesa to Cabazon. He is the Vice-Chair of the Water Conservation and Education Committee and serves on the Employee Guide Committee.   He is Past- President and Vice-President of the SGPWA.

He was born and raised in El Centro. After attending college for two years, he began a career in law enforcement. He served on the El Centro Police Department for five years before moving on to a 28-year career with the California Highway Patrol. He has lived in the Pass area since 1981.  He and his wife Fran live in Cherry Valley.

Ray Morris is Past-President and a current member of the Beaumont Kiwanis Club, Immediate Past-Chairman of the San Gorgonio Pass Municipal Advisory Council (MAC), and President of his homeowner’s association.

Re-elected in 2006, his term runs through November 2010.
